The Maker, also known as the “Paper Maker,” after Camas High School mascot, was featured in the 2018 Clark County Parade of Homes. The owners were empty nesters wanting to be able focus on the thing they love. The home was created as a private personal sanctuary. The interior style is blend of Industrial Chic and traditional appeal. The Maker found balance between iron pipes, concrete and steel beams, with a little more traditional look and feel. The Master Suite is located near the entry and offers a large walk in closet-dressing room, a luxurious walk-in shower with gorgeous tiled drying areas. While the interior does play off of the industrial look the exterior is a angular and modern. The angular nature of the garage, due to the shape of the lot, provided opportunity for a floating roof over the entry way, and allowed for a hidden entry as the owners desired. The brick stairway wall hearkens to the kitchen while hiding a craft room with rolling island that opens to the ambient light of the gathering room. The walk out basement provides two more suites and a walk out design created with a modern Accessory Dwelling Unit in mind. One of our favorite features is the modern automated screened-porch providing year-round comfort in the heated outdoor space with TV, dining and grilling areas.
